THE LANGUAGE FEED.

The Language Feed is a completely not-for-profit and free web site and email announcement list. Every Friday, the Language Feed is updated with the latest news stories found around the web that pertain to language and linguistics. Articles are selected with two criteria in mind - does this article have something to do with language? And does this article interest Sally? That's it.
"Sally" is Sally Morrison, and she's created a very useful website, which I found via Jessica Rett's links page. Posted by languagehat at December 10, 2004 10:14 PM

No RSS feed? What's this, the 20th century?

I signed up for the mailing list. I have to agree with Bjorn that an RSS feed is a necessity in this day and age.

Particularly, it has to be said, when you put "feed" in the title.

I'm sorry, but this basically a repackaging of a couple of Google News Alerts, is it not?

Posted by: Grant Barrett at December 11, 2004 11:57 AM

Yes, that's exactly what it is - repackaging of some searches I do on Google News. I'm not offering anything other than free searches for people and putting them in their mailboxes. Maybe this is the old fashioned way of doing things. It seems to suit most of my audience.

As for the RSS thing - I only update my page once a week so I don't see the purpose of this. So, no, it's not really a "feed" but it's not a blog, either.
